Phra Mae Ya Shrine

This statue is situated in example of the City Hall and is highly respected by Sukhothai residents. It houses an idol of Phra Mae Ya, a solitaire figure with face besides long hair, also dressed as an ancient lassie. The Idol is about 1 meter high further supposed to postulate been built during kaiser Ramkhamhaeng's reign as a dedication to his delayed mother, Nang Suang.
