Phraya Chaiyabun Monument

This obelisk is located 4 kms. from Phrae Market, through constructed as a reliquary to Phraya Chaiyabun who was the notability of Muang Phrae, during the reign of King Rama V, and was killed by the Ngiew tribal folks because he did not settle to set his hand in a document giving independent Muang Phrae to the Ngiew during the Ngiew uprising string the year 1902 A.D.
