On 16th January, 2009 at Central Festival Beach Pattaya, 2nd Road, Pattaya, Chonburi, Central Pattana Public Company Limited, known as CPN, the leading real estates company and retail store in Thailand, held religious ceremony led by Khun Wanchai Jirathiwat, his family and the management team. Mr. Mongkol Thammakittikul, Sheriff of Banglamung district, Mr. Weerawat Khakhai, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, Pol.Col. Sarayut Sa-nganphokhai, Superintendent of Pattaya Police, distinguished guests and Central’s staff also attended.
At the auspicious time of 8.19, Phra Rajaworayan (Laungpor Paiboon Sumangkhalo) from Wat Analayothipayaram, Payao province, accompanied by other renowned monks from Bangkok and Chonburi presided over the ceremony, radiating mindfulness to the statue of Brahma and the sacred wood. Khun Wancha Jirathiwat lit the candles and joss sticks, presenting garlands and flowers, respectfully engaging the spirit of Brahma to the Devalai (Place for Deva). A group of Brahmans recited the prayer coincidently with chanting ceremony.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled on 23rd January, 2009. The event will feature electronic carnival for the first time in Pattaya starting from 16.00 onwards on Pattaya Beach road.
In the morning, the management of the Central Pattana Public Compnay Limited or CPN, including Khun Kobchai Chirathivat, President and CEO of CPN welcomed the Governor of Chonburi Mr. Surapol Pongtadsirikul to attend a traditional monks blessing to bring good fortune to the site. Then in the afternoon, the 7 billion baht Complex set in 22 Rai of land received its official opening to the public. Invited Guests started arriving and were welcomed by Khun Kobchai and the management team of CPN to enjoy the extravaganza in a special compound in front of the complex. Here, everyone received a first class evening of free flowing wine, beer and buffet food plus a wonderful assortment of class acts and live band entertainment. The complex was then officially opened by Khun Kobchai, Governor Surapol and Mayor Ittipol followed by a tickertape storm and fantastic firework display.
