This palace was built during the reign of King Maha Thammaraja, the 17th Ayutthayan monarch, as his son's habitation (tsar Naresuan). Like disparate ruins, the palace was destroyed by the Burmese and deserted unrepaired owing to a long instance. King Mongkut of the name Chakri dynasty ordered reconstruction of this palace because profit as a house during his occasional visits to Ayutthaya.
It is now used as a at rest museum and opens everyday, except Monday and Tuesday, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
