
Upolu is an island in Samoa, formed by a massive basaltic shield volcano which rises from the seafloor of the western Pacific Ocean. Apia is the heart of Upolu. A modernised city, with history backing up this city with a population over 30,000.
Old Traditional buses are a must do. They are quite cheap, but can be uncomfortable. You can also hire cars from Apia for less then 50 Tala a day.
Great surfing off the coast near the Salani Resort and also visit Vailima village, with their beautiful cascading falls. Lake Lanoto, which is known to be a lake, which has no lake floor and it also holds beautiful, rare and massive gold fish.
