Kuala Terengganu is the largest city as well as the state and royal capital of Terengganu state, Malaysia.
Places of interest include Chinatown, Pasar Payang (Central Market), the Sultan's Palace, the State Museum, Pulau Duyong and the latest attraction is Masjid Kristal in Pulau Wan Man. Kuala Terengganu also famous for its keropok lekor Losong and traditional dishes nasi dagang.
You can find locally popular fruit juice in a big mug known as "air buah gelas besar". Many choices of fresh fruit juice are available. You can find it in Seberang Takir (about 5 km from KT on the road heading to Kuala Terengganu airport). It operates from 5 p.m. to midnight.
You can also buy a variety of different fruit juices, coconut water, etc. from vendors outside the Pasar Besar in Kuala Terengganu. Watering holes are not many to come by (was told that there are no more than 10). Found one recently of decent set up with pleasant owners (Kris n Cheng) - good for darts and drinks, and light singing. Location : near waterfront.
