Hida-furukawa

Hida-furukawa is a city in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture. Known as Furukawa until its 2004 merger with nearby villages, the town is often likened to a small version of Takayama, with a popular spring festival and a small, well-preserved historical city center. Get off JR Hida Furukawa station on JR Takayama line. 15 minutes from Takayama by JR train.
