Arambol Beach is located a few kilometers from the city of Mapusa within the Pernem administrative region of northern Goa. The beach attracts many international tourists, mainly during the winter season between December and February. Arambol has a distinct bohemian feel which is no longer found in areas such as Calangute and this inevitably attracts many hippie travellers.
Enjoy the beach. Arambol has a long beach, both rocky and sandy, with a nice headland where you can climb and find a nice view, and small altars. Its main draws are the nearby hot water springs, paragliding and relative quietude. The experienced Anjuna travellers like to stay here and move to Anjuna area only for parties and markets.
The cliffs near the beaches are popular for paragliding and dolphin watching boat trips. Adjacent to the beach a few shops sell clothes, junk jewelry and handicrafts from across Goa and India. Some good cafes along the main beach and on the headland to the north cater tasty delicacies from the cuisine of Italy, Goa and India.
