
Mount Field National Park is a national park in Tasmania (Australia), an hour (64 km) northwest of Hobart. The landscape ranges from eucalyptus temperate rainforest to alpine moorland, rising to 1,434 metres (4,705ft) at the summit of Mount Field West.
There is a information center where tourists can park and food, drink and souvenirs can be purchased. Camping facilities are also available. A national parks pass will be required for vehicle entry, and costs around $20.00 for a day pass. There is an after hours facility to purchase these passes if the visitor center is closed. Russell Falls is only 10 minutes away from the center.
